A Branch of the Fantasy Tree

A Branch of the Fantasy Tree

I want to go to the outer space.
Where time will move at a snail's pace.
Drifting in air, afloat with happiness,
Down into the black hole will disappear my sadness.

Through the looking-glass I shall peek,
Into the darkness, unknown to me what I seek.
Futile, it may be to the discerning eye,
And unimportant to the eavesdropper, on the sly.

When gloom and darkness shroud the mind,
such are the pursuits I whine to find.
On restrospect, it may be a meaningless trip for me.
Uncaring, I am, for it was a branch of the Fantasy Tree.

My fascination for an "uninteresting" game..

Okay, so I'll divert a bit from my regular poetry and digitally manipulated junk and write about something which is genuinely close to my heart (No..its not about a guy! :P)
There's one game that has fascinated me since I was a child. Didn't quite under understand it but loved the dynamics of it. While everyone would watch n play Cricket, I'd surf channels to catch a match of this sport. 9-ball pool is what I'm talking about..

Distressed, I am to see its condition is India..nobody really watches it or understands it. Boring, stagnant, slow and "uncool" are what some of my acquaintances describe it as. hmmmmm..I call that irrational-illogical interpretation of a wonderful game that requires great deal of grey cells dribbling away to chart out a clever move on the table. I find peace..I mean literally with my friends from Taiwan and Phillipines with endless discussions on who'll win and who'll lose in the tourneys. I'd be lost without 'em!..lol.

Another particularly annoying thing that I'm asked about is how I manage to remember the names of the players? I back Taiwan in world pool and as always they have the typical names -- Yang Ching Shun, Chao Fong Pang, Wu Chia Ching, Kuo Po Cheng, Chang Jung Ling, Chang Pei Wei n lots more. To my acquaintances.. its nothing more than "chilli chicken" or "pork shang dong"..I'm like..Sha!!
